About the Firing Form
This form is essential to ensure the proper handling of your firing. It requires basic information, such as the type of clay used and the desired firing programme. You can fill out the form online or print it and submit it with your pieces on the firing day.

Choose Your Firing Programme

I offer three firing programmes to suit your pieces:

  • Single firing at 1050ºC
  • Bisque firing at 950ºC
  • Glaze firing at 1050ºC

You may use one or multiple shelves or fill the entire kiln, depending on your needs.

Prices

  • Full kiln: 35€
  • 1 shelf (maximum height of 10 cm): 12,5€

Please review the pricing and size options, and complete the firing form to accompany your pieces before delivery.

Kiln Dimensions

Before scheduling your firing, check the kiln dimensions and ensure your pieces fit the available space:

  • Total Height: 460 mm
  • Internal Diameter: Ø 410 mm
  • Capacity: 60 L
  • Base Plate Diameter: Ø 350 mm

The height of your pieces determines the necessary shelf heights. I use 5 cm and 10 cm posts, which can be stacked to create shelves of various heights. For the Single Shelf programme, the maximum height per shelf is 10 cm.

FAQ

I have questions about the clay I can fire. What should I do?
I only carry out low-temperature firings on the specified programmes (Single firing at 1050ºC, Bisque firing at 950ºC, and Glaze firing at 1050ºC). You must be sure of the type of clay used. Ideally, please send the clay specifications when booking your firing. If in doubt, submitting the technical sheet for the clay is required.

What are the minimum and maximum dimensions of pieces?
I accept pieces from 5 x 5 x 5 cm. The kiln’s internal measurements are Height: 46 cm, Internal Diameter: 41 cm, and Base Plate Diameter: 35 cm. To ensure a safe firing, I recommend leaving at least a 4 cm margin around the piece, especially when firing a single item.

What is the maximum number of pieces I can submit?
The maximum capacity depends on the size of your pieces. If you wish to fill the kiln completely, I will arrange the pieces according to the available space to ensure a safe and efficient firing.

Can I submit glazed pieces?
Yes, however, the pieces must be prepared correctly for firing, with clean edges and no glaze in direct contact with the shelf. If the pieces are not prepared correctly, I may reject them.

Can I submit pieces without a booking for the ceramic firing service?
No. Prior booking is required, and I reserve the right to reject any piece submitted without a booking.

Can I fire tiles? Can I use kiln tiles?
Currently, I do not have kiln tiles. However, the flat kiln shelf can be used to fire some flat pieces. Please remember that space is limited, and the number of pieces that fit depends on their size.

I am unsure of the size of my pieces. Do I need to specify exact measurements for the Single Shelf programme?
Exact dimensions are not required for each piece. However, an estimate of the space they will occupy is essential, as this will impact the cost, which may vary depending on the piece size.

Terms and Conditions

In the ceramic firing service, I provide exclusively low-temperature firing services and cannot be held responsible for the final outcome of your pieces. I do not assume liability for possible kiln malfunctions or power failures that may occur during the process. Pieces may be subject to risks such as defects or deformations due to the contraction or expansion of materials, and I cannot be held responsible for these outcomes.

It is essential that the information provided by the client regarding the clay and glaze is accurate and, whenever possible, accompanied by the corresponding technical sheet. It is entirely the client’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the information provided.

By accepting these conditions, the client agrees to prepare the pieces properly for firing, cleaning the edges of glazed pieces and ensuring that they are completely dry and ready to be placed in the kiln. Each booking has a 48-hour duration, allowing for the complete firing and cooling programme. Preferably, the client should collect the pieces as soon as the process is complete.

If any accident occurs during firing, causing damage to the kiln that is directly related to your pieces, the client will be responsible for covering repair costs, including the value of kiln shelves (€40 each) and kiln elements (€48 each). If the damage affects the overall functioning of the kiln, the repair cost will be determined based on a quote provided by a certified technician.
