About me :)

Hello! Fancy taking a stroll together? If you're looking for a little joy and a touch of nostalgia, keep reading.

Let’s travel back to those colorful, carefree days of childhood when everything seemed possible. Remember the thrill of exploring, inventing games, and letting our imaginations run wild? Those spontaneous moments of uncontrollable laughter, when nothing mattered more than having fun and creating our own world.

Back then, we didn’t worry about mixing pink stripes with orange polka dots, enjoying a chocolate milkshake alongside slices of sausage, or turning a wooden stick into our best friend. Who cared if we wore a Spiderman costume to Aunt Margarita’s wedding or our Sunday best to hunt for bugs? All that mattered was dreaming, playing, and savoring every moment.

Sometimes, I like to think those days are still alive, tucked away in a corner of our memory, waiting to be revisited. Have you imagined them again? I hope this little walk down memory lane brought a smile to your face.

I believe those moments are too precious to leave behind, and they’re precisely what inspires my work. At Molli & Moai, every creation, from reversible dolls to customised ceramic pieces, is designed to transport you back to that sense of innocence and freedom. Whether it’s a plush toy or a handmade ceramic, I want every object to spark joy, imagination, and a touch of nostalgia.

They say the creative gene is inherited, though it often skips generations. My grandmother, endlessly creative, recognized that I had been born with it and made an effort to nurture it. With her guidance, I learned to imagine and explore different forms of expression: painting, singing, inventing, and repairing second-hand or hand-me-down toys. Thanks to her, I discovered that I didn’t just enjoy playing with those objects, I loved giving them a new life and creating something unique out of them.

Although I spent years working in offices, following a more “practical” path, I never abandoned my passion for creating. Until one day, I took the leap and founded Molli & Moai, a project that lets me turn my imagination into something tangible and share it with others.

Working with ceramics and fabrics came naturally. Ceramics, for me, are like the plasticine of childhood: versatile and full of possibilities (I know some might raise an eyebrow at that comparison). Fabrics, on the other hand, captivate me with their colors, textures, and endless potential. They’re everywhere, from a mop to haute couture or art. Crafting dolls and toys allows me to merge these materials into something timeless and meaningful.

What began as gifts for friends and family evolved into a small business. Today, beyond creating characters and decorative pieces, I love sharing these techniques in workshops to keep them alive and accessible to everyone.

My inspiration comes from everywhere: nature, cartoons, or even historical figures. With each creation, I aim to spark joy, connect with the imagination, and evoke a touch of nostalgia. Every piece has a laid-back, authentic style because I believe it’s our differences that truly stand out.

Right now, I’m working on transforming a small countryside house into my workshop, a space where creativity flows freely and one I hope to share with others through workshops and inspiration. Every step along this journey reminds me why I chose this project: to fill the world with color, imagination, and that little bit of quirkiness that makes everything more special.
